The introduction as text
This 1 min 57 s video has no speech, only music. The video tells the following steps.
Discover the new recruitment app
For every company, for every candidate. Then the Timstrok logo appears.
Applications sent
The CV of Léa Morel, full-stack developer, with her photo, goes out to six companies, A to F. Only the file name changes: CV.pdf, CV_v2.pdf, CV_final_v3.pdf, CV_Sol.pdf… The applications-sent counter climbs to 50.
More and more applications… for a handful of replies
A chart over eight weeks compares applications sent and replies received. Applications grow every week. Replies stay at zero for the first two weeks, then stay far behind.
Companies can’t keep up
The number of applications for a single job climbs to 1,243. The top of the pile flies off in every direction.
So they let an AI sort
A robot marked “AI” rises behind the pile and throws the CVs left and right. Each CV thrown away bears the label “Top profile”.
On Timstrok, every company is verified
For Ondalis, in Lyon, three points are checked in the registry: legal name (Ondalis SAS), registration number (852 147 963) and official registry (France). Ondalis gets the “Verified” stamp, then Nova in Paris and Lumen in Lille. A fourth, unknown company is not in the registry and disappears.
What Timstrok changes
On a dark screen, the Timstrok symbol forms in a glow. The three pillars follow, each announced by its name in very large letters.
Matching: one language, on both sides
The candidate describes what they can do, the company what it needs, and each criterion of one is linked to the same criterion of the other: role (full-stack developer, 5 years, for a full-stack developer role requiring 3+ years), skill (Angular), certification (Professional Scrum Master I), soft skill (teamwork) and language (English C1, for English B2 or higher). Then the company likes and the candidate likes: the two likes merge into a “Match”.
Inclusivity: only what matters stays
On Léa Morel’s CV, the photo and name blur; age, address, family situation and nationality are struck through, then removed. What remains: skills (Angular, TypeScript, digital accessibility RGAA), experience (full-stack developer, 5 years), certification (Professional Scrum Master I), languages (English C1, Spanish B1) and education (MSc Computer Science, Lyon 1), lined up under the CV as the criteria that count.
Simplicity: simple and accessible for everyone
A match between Léa Morel and Ondalis, then the interview on Thursday 8 October, with three slots: 09:30, 10:00 and 14:00. One click on 10:00, and the interview is booked for Thursday 8 October at 10:00.
The app, in six steps
During the break in the music, the screen goes dark for a short moment. Then the app comes back, on a laptop and, right beside it, on an iPhone: each step plays on both at the same time.
- The candidate builds a profile: experience, skills, languages, done once. Léa Morel searches for the skill “Angular”, adds it, and her profile reaches 6 of 6 fields completed.
- The company likes an anonymous profile. It sees what matters, the skills: a full-stack developer available from 8 November, with no name or photo, and what meets the job’s criteria, marked “Required” or “Optional”: her full-stack developer position since March 2021, TypeScript at 80%, digital accessibility (RGAA) at 80%. Camille, for Ondalis, clicks “Like”.
- The candidate likes the job: it’s a match. Léa sees the full-stack Angular / NestJS developer job at Ondalis, in Lyon: a permanent contract, starting immediately, €45,000 to €55,000 gross a year. Ondalis builds software that helps local authorities produce and share local solar energy. Léa clicks “Like”: a message confirms that the match is created and that the conversation will be available in her matches; on the iPhone, the “It’s a match” screen appears. Mutual interest, meaningful meeting.
- Only now is the profile revealed: in Ondalis’s matches, Léa Morel’s name and photo appear after the match, labelled “New match”, with 4 of 4 required criteria and 4 of 5 optional ones.
- The conversation starts, directly, between the right people. Camille, for Ondalis: “Hello Léa, delighted about this match! We really liked your work on accessibility.” Léa replies “Thank you Camille! Here is my portfolio.” and attaches the file “Portfolio – Léa Morel.pdf”. Camille: “Shall we talk for 30 minutes this week? Pick whichever slot suits you.”
- Booking the interview takes a few clicks. The candidate picks a slot: Léa chooses Thursday 15 October at 10:00, by Google Meet video call, and confirms; her proposal waits for an answer. Ondalis accepts the time: the interview is scheduled from 10:00 to 10:30.

Then the Timstrok logo, its three pillars, matching, inclusivity and simplicity, and the address timstrok.com.
Matching
Both sides say yes. Then you talk.
Candidates like the offers that fit them. Employers like the profiles that fit the role. The match opens only when the like goes both ways.
- The candidate likes the offer
- The employer likes the profile
- It’s a match: the conversation opens

Inclusivity
Skills first. Names later.
Employers first see what a person can do: experience, skills, availability. The rest comes with the match. And everything works with a keyboard, a screen reader, high contrast and reduced motion.
Simplicity
From match to interview, in one place.
Talk, share a file, book a slot. Every step happens in Timstrok, for both sides.

A word from the founder
Simon KortsmitFounder of Timstrok“My search for a work-study placement was hard. I wasn’t the only one: in my class, only half of the students ended up finding a company. When I found mine, they told me they were also struggling to recruit qualified people. That made me want to look for a solution.
At the time, I was commuting to Nantes for work, and I discovered BlaBlaCar. Its user experience struck me. I wanted to create, in my own way, an app for recruitment.
I then did some research and discovered many problems in recruitment. I realised my idea could apply to every type of contract and to companies of every size.
That work gave birth to Timstrok, with one goal: to make it easier for candidates and companies to connect professionally.”
